Tennessee Repertory Theatre will partner with The Acorn restaurant and The Nashville Scene for a special event to celebrate its 25th Anniversary. The evening—titled “Nashville Scenes”-- will feature staged readings of scenes from Tennessee Rep’s 2009-2010 season and hot hors d’oeuvres and will be held Wednesday, July 29 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at The Acorn (114 28th Avenue North). Tennessee Rep’s 25th Anniversary season features the following:
• A Christmas Story by Phillip Grecian based on the motion picture by Jean Shepherd, Leigh Brown, and Bob Clark • Proof by David Auburn • Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, music and lyrics by Roger Miller and book by William Hauptman, based on the classic novel by Mark Twain Actors that will be featured at the event include Shane Bridges, Brooke Bryant, Ruth Cordell, Anna Felix, Henry Haggard, Mary Jane Harvill, Denice Hicks, Andy Kanies, Bakari King, Eric D. Pasto-Cosby, Carrie Tillis, Peter Vann, Patrick Waller, Samuel Whited, David Wilkerson, and Bobby Wyckoff. “Nashville Scenes” offers the opportunity to mingle with actors and staff, preview the upcoming Tennessee Rep season, and is sponsored by The Acorn and Nashville Scene. Additionally, “Nashville Scenes” will be the first public announcement of casts for Tennessee Rep’s 2009-2010 season.
